This year I not ontly want to be more intentional with my sewing and knitting projects I also want to get better at documenting what I'm making. I always love to see what others are sewing or knitting or how they plan their next wardrobe projects. So I decided to check in monthly here on the blog to keep you updated about what I'm currently making and what's coming next. This is highly inspired by Karen Templer's monthly queue check blog posts.
TAMARACK JACKET: Over a year ago I started with my quilted Tamarack Jacket by Grainline Studio. I was super inspired by all those other versions out there (you have to check out the hashtag #tamarackjacket on Instagram). I'm following along the sew-along posts on grainlinestudio.com. This makes it a lot easier. I plan to continue working on the jacket again this month.
SOCKS: I knitted my first pair of socks last year in November. It’s a fun project and doesn’t take that long. There are several parts where you just have to knit and don’t think a lot. I’m currently knitting a pair of socks for a friend. I use the pattern from the book Made by Hand which is very in-depth and covers each and every step, perfect for beginners. // Link to Project Page on Ravelry
LINEN SWEATER: This month I also started a linen sweater wich I saw in my local wool shop. It’s a pattern from them, so nothing available online. What I like about knitting something from my local wool shop is that I can try on the finished piece before I start knitting. This way it’s a lot easier to know if I like it or not and if it fits. This sweater will be something for spring and summer weather so I hope to have it done in April or May. It’s a simple pattern, but knitted in half brioche stitch. That stitch takes forever. // Link to Project Page on Ravelry
BELLOWS CARDIGAN: You might remember that I destroyed my beloved Bellows Cardigan that I finished in February 2017. It got washed a bit too hot and shrunk too much. Because I love it so much, I decided to knit it again. This time together with a friend (I will teach her how she has to knit it). My wool arrived last week and the next step is to knit a swatch.
