I heard about FibreShare sometime last year on Instagram. When I was scrolling through the hashtags #fibreshare and #fibresharepackage I got really exciting in participating one day. Back in March I finally signed up and I am so happy I did.
So what is FibreShare you might ask. FibreShare is all about swapping fiber. You sign up for just $7 and then you will receive two partners. One whom you will sending some fiber, and one who will send you some fiber. There are different categories to sign up for - I signed up for the knitting category.
You also have to fill out a form where you answer some specific questions. Your partner (the one who has to send you something) will get your answers to get to know you a little bit better and also for information about what you like.
The person (Anita) I had to send some fiber was very open with her answers which meant it was a little bit trickier to put together a package for her. I also double checked with her if I got her colors right.
My package for her included more than just yarn. I wanted to create a fun package with lots of other things to find (although this is not mandatory. The only requirement is, that you send 200g of fiber). I bought some yarn, used some from my stash, bought my fave chocolate (I'm from Switzerland, so that was a must), included some tea and some photos I took. As a special treat I got some weaving tools from SonoraHandmade. Anita mentioned, that she likes to weave.
Here's a list of everything I included:
Anita told me, that she really liked my package. And I'm so happy about that. In the end I just really love to give.
And of course I also received a package. The wonderful Amalia sent me some really, really great things.
THE FIBER
She included her own yarn that I can experience to work with speckled yarn. Super love this, because so far I only worked with solids (I shared a few photos about that here on Instagram).
THE EXTRAS
So, if you were thinking about signing up (I don't know when the next round happens) or never heard of this, I can highly recommend this swap. It's well organized and you will definitely get to know new people. But the best part is to collect things to create a package for your partner.

It's been a while but today I share my February spreads of my personal Project Life® album with you.
The cards on the top left are from past Story Kits™. The card "Lost in a good book" is from this set by In a Creative Bubble.
As always I include my collage with all those Instagram photos. This is still one of my favorite pages each month.
On the left you can see my "A year between friends"-project page.
And the last few photos are all about my knitting projects.
WHAT IS A PERSONAL PROJECT LIFE® ALBUM?
It's an additional album to our family album. In this album I tell my own story. It's all about my projects, books I read, important text messages/e-mails I get, what I eat and drink, basically stuff I share on my Instagram account.
SUPPLIES I USED
Basic Supplies List, 6x8 album from Studio Calico, I print my photos at home with my Epson SureColor P400 on Canon semi gloss photo paper

Last year I pre-ordered the book A Year Between Friends by Maria Alexandra Vettese & Stephanie Congdon Barnes (better known as 3191MilesApart) right away. It came in November and I loved it from page one. I flipped through the book and knew, it would be perfect for a year-long project in 2017 because each chapter is broken down into each month of the year.
For 2017 I didn't set any goals but I decided to work my way through that book. Each month I will do the projects, bake and cook the recipes and read the stories from that chapter. At the end of each month When I find the time, I will share my projects here on the blog and also make a 6x8" page for my personal Project Life® album. Today I share the March and April projects with you.
RECIPE // COCONUT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
These were SO good! I made them several times already and each person who tried them loved them as well. It's definitely one of my fave recipes so far. Really, if you want to try just one recipe from the book, make this one! I also made a batch for the freezer.
WHAT I DIDN'T TRY THIS MONTH
Coconut Macaroon Nests, Woolen Stuffed Bunnies, Geometric-Stencil Eggs
6X8 PAGE FOR MY PERSONAL PROJECT LIFE® ALBUM
(It's written in German but basically I wrote what you can read in my blog post)
RECIPE // SCRATCH BAKING CO.'S ALMOND CAKE
Another super delicious recipe. I used frozen rasperries instead of blueberries and I'm not quite sure if that was the reason why my berries ended up on the bottom of the cake instead sprinkled throughout. It was still super delicious. I also love that it's not a dry cake.
DIY // NATURAL-DYE PROJECT
The instruction said, you have to use black beans. I had red kidney beans on hand and tried it with them. This project was kind of a fail. The color of the finished fabric is so subtle, you almost can't see it.
I went to a natural dye workshop this month and learned a lot about how to dye with natural stuff. I also learned that it's really hard to dye cotton and that you have to prepare your fabric. To dye fabric and wool naturally is super interesting and I really want to dive deeper into this. We will see, where this will end up.
WHAT I DIDN'T TRY THIS MONTH
Natural Spring Cleaning, Honey Lemonad
6X8 PAGE FOR MY PERSONAL PROJECT LIFE® ALBUM

To finish off this week of my One Little Word® Album spreads I share my April pages with you today.
In April the prompt was to write some questions about our word on sticky notes and place them around the house. This way you start thinking about what your word really means to you at the moment whenever you see one of your questions. It's the same prompt like last year in April and you can see here how I documented it the last time.
I added two of my questions to my album on a clear page.
I answered my questions on the right side of the above spread and used those cool circle stamps to highlight my different answers.
