One Little Word® 2016 // March

March was all about creating a vision board in the One LIttle Word® classroom. Usually you make a vision board with magazine clippings. It's what I did the last two times. I bough very expensive English magazines (I don't like German magazines for this) and made my vision board. Because I didn't want to spend $30 on magazines again I decided to make a painting and adhere my salvaged word right on top.

My first version of the painting was blue, mixed with yellow and white. I realized, that although blue has a lot to do with my one little word "light" it has nothing to do with me. I like the color, but I have nothing in my craft room, where I want to put the painting on my wall, that is blue.

Then I edited the photo to black and white (top right photo). I really really liked that. So I painted over the blue with black and white and totally destroyed my painting.

I started again on a new canvas and only used black, white, yellow, a little bit of blue and gold. Now I'm happy about the finished painting and it fits into my room.

For my minialbum I printed the photo of me holding the painting. The second page is a clear plastic page where I added this beautiful 3x4 card I got from my friend Olya.

On the back of the card a little bit about the prompt for March and I also made a "reflections" page.
