Alright, here comes day one of my week in the life album. I started the day with a 6x8 photo. On each first photo I write down the day, date and some text about the photo. After printing it, I also add one of the plastic numbers that came with the kit.
For my 3x8 page protector I used the Morning/Afternoon/Evening card and added some photos from our breakfast, lunch and dinner. (This is totally inspired by Ali Edwards).
I really like how the white number adds an interesting accent to the page.
Sometimes is a simple patterned paper all you need to fill your pocket. That's what I did here on the back of the 3x8 pocket.
When I really want to use a 4x6 card, but have two 3x4 pockets to fill, I simply cut the photo in half. I made sure to add the text only to one side of the photo before I printed it.
As I mentioned, I primarily use typed text in this album. But I also want to use some of the cards from the kit to add some text. I like the combination between handwritten and typed text.
The page protector on the right is actually one with two 4x6 pockets. Because I wanted to use one 4x6 and two 3x4 pockets, I created two pockets with my sewing machine.
On the bottom right I used a cut down transparent divider as a filler card. Whenever I add see-through elements, I make sure that the photo or card you can see through works with the whole spread.
The see-through filler card also works on this page. Initially I had the "Favorites" card in that place, but switched it with the yellow lines because of the see-through card. This way the last spread looks more put together.
