One Little Word 2015: September

Create Share Love | One Little Word Quality September 0

For September we were invited to write ourselves a letter. It's a great prompt because you can sit down for about 20 minutes and write about everything you can think of. It's interesting to see where it leads you to. It's freeing and helps you organize your thoughts. And I'm looking forward to the day in a few years when I will re-read that letter.

The art print on the left is from the Get To Work Book which I cut down. The pocket for my letter is made of a card Tina Aszmus recently sold in her shop and backed with a piece of white paper. I sewed those two pieces together and punched out a half circle on the top.

I wrote my letter on printer paper and folded it until it fitted into my pocket.

The last page is the reflection page. This time I looked back at my action items I picked in March and chose three of them and wrote about how I made progress (or not) on them.

One Little Word® is a concept created by Ali Edwards where you pick a word at the beginning of the year and you work with your word on a year long journey. You can find out more about it here.

Week in the Life 2015 // Sunday

Create Share Love | Week in The Life 2015 Sunday 2

And my Week in the Life album is complete. I am super happy with it. Especially because I achieved my goal to tell more stories. This album is full of photos and text. Full of memories and stories.

I stamped "2015" onto the spine and added the words "week in the life" with my own handwriting. The number stamps are from an old Studio Calico stamp set which is no longer available.

For my first photo of the day I used an enlarged photo of our breakfast table. It represents our Sunday very well because we always, always start it with a longer breakfast.

For the top right pocket I used one of the transparency again and added the word "YES" with stickers and the Sunday wood veneer.

And the last photo represents our Sundays also very well. Because we always watch a German crime show called "Tatort" on Sunday evenings. It's the last thing we do before we go to bed.

To not leave the last page empty I added a piece of patterned paper from my stash where I adhered a few word strips from the kit.

Week in the Life 2015 // Saturday

Create Share Love | Week in The Life 2015 Saturday 1

Almost done with sharing my Week in the Life album. Today I show you my Saturday pages.

Create Share Love | Week in The Life 2015 Saturday 2

I cut down one of the 3x4 cards that has several words on it and adhered the word "loving" directly onto my photo.

Create Share Love | Week in The Life 2015 Saturday 3

Here I added the word "doing" from that 3x4 card.

And then the word "making". Those little things keep the pages together and gives them a cohesive look.

Project Life 2015: August (With the Stamps from Papierprojekt)

Create Share Love | ProjectLife 2015 August

This month I only used the new Momentstempel from Papierprojekt* to create my Project life spreads. I really like how my spreads came together. The stamps made it easy.

For my title card I used the really awesome alphabet stamp set Goethe and the "documented" stamp from the Wanderlust set.

Create Share Love | ProjectLife 2015 August 10

In combination to the title card I used the Schiller stamp set on this photo. The font is the same which I really like.

Create Share Love | ProjectLife 2015 August 3

Here I used the "Delicious" stamp set to create a border around my plate. Then I stamped the word "delicious" onto a piece of white cardstock and adhered it with foam dots to give the photo some dimensions.

Create Share Love | ProjectLife 2015 August 4

For the left card I combined the "now" stamp from the Each Day stamp set with the "fabulous" stamp from the Eye Candy set. The round stamp works well with the round plate on the photo.

This month I added lots of typed text on my photos before I printed them. Afterwards I stamped the word "Funtastic" from the Eye Candy set on top of the text to create some sort of title. On the right side I stamped "happy" from the Planner Love set over and over.

The succulent stamp from the Cactus stamp set is perfect to create a simple patterned card. Then I used a piece of vellum on top of the card to add my text.

And another filler card with the Doughnut stamp from the Delicious stamp set.

Wanderlust comes from the Wanderlust stamp set. Again as a simple title to my typed text.

In this blog post I talked about my weekly process and in this blog post I share my experience with monthly spreads. *Please note: I got these stamps for free, but I only support what I love and would also buy.

Week in the Life 2015 // Friday

Create Share Love | Week in The Life 2015 Friday 1

My Friday pages are very simple. Typed text and word strips on the photos combined with my own handwriting. I like that you can put together those pages really fast (after printing the photos) with the contents of the kit.

Create Share Love | Week in The Life 2015 Friday 2

The only "special" item I added to my album for Friday is that brown business card.

Create Share Love | Week in The Life 2015 Friday 3

We always make our weekly grocery trip on Fridays. So I decided to make a photo of our fridge after our shopping. It represents a full fridge (after shopping) but also shows how empty it still looks like because we have such a huge fridge (for Swiss circumstances).
