Create Share Love | Stories Notebook 1

Since January 1st I keep a journal to document our days. Because I work on my Project Life spreads once a month I need a place to write down what happened during those weeks. We tend to forget stories too fast. I made a habit to sit down (almost) every evening to make notes of our day. Sometimes it takes 30 seconds, other evenings I write for 15 minutes.

Memorabilia I may want to use in my Project Life spreads go right into the notebook as well. When I don't use it at the end of the month, it just stays in the notebook. I use a plain moleskine and so far I filled about 3/4 of it. I guess I'll need two or three notebooks for the whole year. And the plan is to put them in one of those 12x12 envelopes at the end of the year.

Before I work on my Project Life spreads, I take my notebook and two highlighters. I go through all my notes and highlight every story I want to include in my spread with a yellow highlighter. Than I take the green highlighter and go through everything again. This time I highlight everything we read, watched and listened to during the past weeks. This will be included in my reading, watching, listening page I add every month.

A few months ago I talked about my diary collection and that I'm no longer writing a diary. I was just not interested in keeping one anymore. But now, with my stories notebook, I definitely have a diary again. It's not as personal as the ones I kept in the past, but there are still stories I only write down in my notebook and they won't make it in my Project Life album.

What about you? Where do you keep your stories?
