My finished minibook on the road has over 100 pages and it's my favorite minibook I ever made. I photographed each and every page of it and you can find them here.
To make a minibook on the road and sit down every evening is completely different than working on it after you are back home again. I printed and added all my photos after our vacation and while I created my pages I didn't plan where to add those photos.
The main focus of my minibook were the words and the things I collected during the day. I was telling the story without photos. Sometimes I made little drawings or added feathers/shells I found at the beach.
There were moments where I missed all my scrapbooking supplies like stamps, stickers and other small embellishments to decorate my pages. But most of the time it made it so much easier to not have so many options to decorate my minibook.
When I got home I only added the introduction page and the photos. No other embellishments. But I changed the front and back page because I had a few brochures that were bigger than my premade minibook and I didn't like that.
To make the minibook while you are actually on vacation has the big advantage that it's almost done when you are back home. You only have to add the photos afterwards. I'm still working on the minibook from our London trip back in May while this one from August is done.
