November is a gray, windy and rainy month here in Switzerland. But I really love this weather from time to time. To go on a walk when it's raining is something magical. And going inside afterwards is the best. To cuddle under a blanket while drinking a hot tea. And you cherish those rare days, where the sun is shining even more than during the summer time. These are the things I'm currently up to:
reading A Year Between Friends by 3191 miles apart. I preordered the book back in July and now it finally arrived. I always loved their Quarterly issues and their book A Year of Mornings. Their blog is one of those that I still love to read regularly and I get their newsletter in my inbox every Sunday. The new book is such a huge inspiration and I love books that are separated into each months of the year. I can't say enough good things about the book but it's one you definitely have to get.
collecting all the stuff for my December Daily®. I bought the red 4x6 album as well as the Paislee Press mini kit. The rest comes from my stash. I will pick stuff that works well with the Paislee Press mini kit. My favorite Ali Edwards printables are the ones from 2014 which I will use again. I just have to change the days in Photoshop Elements. I also love these printables from Paislee Press that I will mix in here and there. Read more about my process about putting together your own kit from your stash in this blog post from last year.
making time for sewing every Friday now. A few days ago I read on Instagram, that Andrea Mowry starts setting aside some time for sewing every week. I really like that idea and decided to join her. This past Friday I sewed a small pouch to keep all my small things in one place in my bag. My next project will be the Tamarack Jacket from Grainline Studio. They are currently hosting a sew-along on their blog and this is the perfect opportunity to join in. I will use black cotton fabric from my stash and only have to get the quilt batting and some snaps.
enjoying my The Crafter's Box subscription so far. I love that you get all the supplies to complete a project in one box. And it's also great, that each month you have the chance to cancel your subscription (without any fees) if you don't like the upcoming project. This way you only get what you really want to.
looking forward to the Christmas season and starting to decorate our house. I like to keep it simple but a few stars here and there, lots of candles, garlands I will make with the November Crafter's Box and of course a Christmas Tree sometime in December is a must around here.
planning all the paper projects I want to finish this year. This includes a Day in the Life® Mini Album and a few vacation albums from this year. I also have to catch up on the past two Story Kits™ from Ali Edwards. Let's see if I can finish everything.
