Oh how I loved Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. Not because there are great characters (they are actually scary) or because the story is so beautiful. I loved it because I couldn't put it down. It was so thrilling and I wanted to know how everything comes together in the end. I loved the split perspectives and the mystery. A few months ago I also read Gone Girl but I didn't like that one as much as this one. (Although I still want to see the movie)
The next book was The Silver Star by Jeannette Walls. Another great book. A great story which reminded me of the special bond between sisters. I can't tell exactly why I loved it so much. I guess the writing itself is so good and appealing.
If I Stay by Gayle Forman was a rather shorter story with its 160 pages and it was okay. Not a book I'm very excited about but because you can tell it's a book for younger people. What kept me going was the fact I wanted to know if Mia stayed or not.
Next books I plan to read are A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson, Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell and NW by Zadie Smith.
