Sewing is one of the things that is part of my life since I was a kid. We had a sewing machine at home and in school we learned to sew. I still have a pair of sweatpants I sewed 14 years ago. I learned a lot about sewing while growing up but when I turned 16 I lost interest in sewing. For the following 8 years I didn't sew anything.
All of the sudden, I can't remember what the turning point was, I decided to take some sewing classes in 2011. And everything I learned was back again really fast. It was like I never stopped sewing.
In class I sewed a blouse, sweatpants for my boyfriend, a dress, a skirt, two bags and a zip pouch. I really liked my new old hobby and decided to buy a sewing machine in 2012. It's a Bernina and I saved several months for it.
And then I started to sew even more at home. In 2012 and 2013 I sewed three quilts, two mobile phone covers, one clutch and several zip pouches and simple bags.
A few months ago I discovered Umbrella Prints. They sell awesome printed fabric from Australia. I bought the floating world fat quarter set, one remnats packet in neutral and several trimmings. The quality is amazing and the prints are so inspiring.
Umbrella Prints is such a great company. Their customer service is awesome and they even offer free shipping all over the world!
This isn't a sponsored post I just love the fabric from Umbrella Prints.
